The UCI inventors and team behind the technology have published a new academic collaboration demonstrating the utility of closed-loop vasopressor titration in post-operative intrabdominal surgery patients. The team has previously published on post-cardiac surgery patients and neuro-intensive care patients, so this represents a new ICU cohort. Consistent with the previous ICU studies the use of the CLV system reduced hypotension (low blood pressure) time from 26% of management time to <1% of management time. Moreover, time over target was also decreased and vasopressor use was not increased.
